Position Overview
We are seeking dependable, professional, and customer-focused drivers to join our team. As an NEMT Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to medical appointments while providing exceptional door-through-door assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments in a timely manner
- Provide door-through-door assistance, including helping clients in and out of vehicles
- Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using safety equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented vehicle at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and healthcare facilities
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and local/state regulations
- Complete trip documentation and logs accurately
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs (guiding, lifting, pushing wheelchairs, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is a plus
- Ability to lift and assist passengers (up to 75 lbs with equipment)
- Prolonged periods of driving and assisting passengers in various weather conditions
